Minister of Culture Presides at the Neilson Hays Literature Festival Opening
Bangkok (Thailand) – December 10, 2019 (travelindex.com) – The Neilson Hays Library, led by President Ms. Nalin Vanasin (3rd from left), in collaboration with the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC) under the Ministry of Culture, recently kicked off The Neilson Hays Bangkok Literature Festival at an opening ceremony presided over by H.E. Mr. Ittipol Khunpluem (5th from left), Minister of Culture, and M.R. Sukhumband Paribatra (4th from left), Chairman of Suan Pakkad Palace Museum and Chairman of the S.E.A. Write Organising Committee, at the Library. The two-day Literature Festival, which attracted more than 1,200 attendees and staged on the occasion of Neilson Hays Library’s 150th anniversary, featured insightful talks, panel discussions, and poetry readings by more than 40 renowned Thai and international writers and moderators from around the world, as well as film screenings and other entertainment for the family such as art and craft market and workshops at the Library and the nearby British Club stages.
