Selous Butembo is a tented Lodge situated in the southern circuit of Tanzania. A place to begin your true African Safari and an adventure of a lifetime. Our rustic Eco friendly lodge, perched on the edge of the mighty Rufiji River is maintained in a fauna of naturally closed trees and shrubs, offering you superb views with authentic colours of sunrises and sundowns without filters. With only seven tents, this Lodge is ideal for small groups of friends or families travelling together With our experienced guides you will explore and discover the magic of unspoiled Selous Game Reserve, its superb wildlife and pristine landscapes. The Game Reserve, covering about 50,000 square kilometres, is amongst the largest protected areas in Africa. It is a home of a significant concentration of elephants, black rhinoceros, cheetah, giraffe, hippopotamus and crocodile, amongst many other species. Selous also has an exceptionally high variety of habitats including Miombo woodlands, open grasslands, riverine forests and swamps.
